Visual library
An internal tool Greenford Labs uses to keep its design references organised. We save images we like, and images we want to avoid, to boards on our own Pinterest business account. The tool brings them into our private design reference library so the systems we build can follow them.
What it does
- Signs in to our own Pinterest account using Pinterest's official sign-in (OAuth). We never see or store a Pinterest password.
- Reads the boards and pins on that account, including the note in each pin's description that says why it was saved.
- Keeps a private copy of each pin and its note in our design reference library.
- When a pin has no note, asks the account owner why it was saved, and writes the answer back into that pin's description.
- Creates boards and pins on our own account, for example a board showing an example of each design style we use.
Who uses it
Greenford Labs and the collaborators we invite to our boards. It has no public sign-up and does not access anyone else's Pinterest account.
What it does not do
It does not use Pinterest data for advertising, sell or share it, or show Pinterest content outside our own systems. Access can be removed at any time from Pinterest's settings. See our Privacy Policy for details.
